The Ninety-Nines was founded by a group of 99 licensed women pilots in 1929 to provide mutual support and advancement of aviation. The organization remains vibrant and relevant today, and aims to:
- Promote world fellowship through flight,
- Provide networking and scholarship opportunities for women, and aviation education in the community,
- Preserve the unique history of women in aviation.
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of long time member Midge Moore. She was a proud 99 for 54 years, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Our November meeting and Thanksgiving celebration will be at Rick’s Boathouse (Eagle Creek Airpark), and our annual Christmas luncheon will again be at the Greenwood Cheesecake Factory. See the Calendar page for dates and times!
Congratulations! Chapter member Kris passed her private pilot check ride!
Chapter member Kayleigh and her Air Race Classic team placed 2nd overall, and 2nd in the collegiate division. Way to go, ladies!
We wish chapter member Melanie good luck as she begins a new position as a First Officer with Republic Airlines!
Chapter due are due! Please send them to Sue Sears.
We will not have a meeting in July; however, we have invited the ladies from the Kentucky Bluegrass chapter to join us in August for our fly out to French Lick.
